Dr. Joyce Cheng

Dentist

Dr. Joyce Cheng was on track to become a chemical engineer when she had the opportunity to observe a periodontist work on a patient. It was then she decided that periodontics was her true calling. Dr. Cheng completed her undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of California, San Francisco, also earning a Master of Science degree in Oral and Craniofacial Sciences from UCSF. Dr. Cheng is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.

 

Dr. Cheng specializes in gingival grafting, guided tissue regeneration, bone grafting, bone & sinus augmentation, and dental implants. She devotes her time to the community and outreach programs for disadvantaged populations including the Asian Health Community Dental Clinic in Oakland, CA.

She is a member of the Mid – Peninsula Dental Society, California Dental Society, California Society of Periodontology, American Academy of Periodontology, and the American Dental Association.   

While Dr. Cheng has several hobbies, she most enjoys running marathons and exploring the many beautiful trails around the peninsula.  


Dr. Igor Roitman

Dentist

Dr. Igor Roitman graduated with honors from the international Program at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He practiced general dentistry for a number of years and returned to school to pursue a postgraduate education in the dental specialty of Periodontics. Dr. Roitman went on to earn a certificate in periodontics and a Master of Science in Oral and Craniofacial Sciences from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF).  Dr. Roitman is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.

Dr. Roitman is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Department of Oral and Craniofacial Sciences at UCSF and is actively involved in clinical research in the field of surgically assisted orthodontics. He specializes in gingival grafting, guided tissue regeneration, bone grafting, bone & sinus augmentation, surgically-assisted orthodontics, and dental implants.

He is a member of the Mid-Peninsula Dental Society, California Dental Society, California Society of Periodontology, Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society, American Academy of Periodontology, American Dental Association, and the American Academy of Osseointegration.   

Dr. Roitman resides in San Francisco with his wife and two daughters. He likes to travel with his family and in his free time enjoys swimming, reading and mountain biking.
